A bit of fun with Alka Seltzer Rockets

This term we're looking at Kitchen Science - the kind of experiments you can do with things you might find in your kitchen (or even bathroom!). 

This is a video a group of us made with Miss Kim.
After experimenting we came to the conclusion we  need to find better film canisters - the white ones with the lid that clips in would give the best seal, allowing the gas to build up and so a bigger POP!

We'll make another movie showing the results from round 2 of experiments and explaining the Science behind it all!

Genius Hour with May Road School

On Tuesday last week we walked up to May Road School with Flox Class. We were pretty excited about the chance to work collaboratively with Room 15 and 14, but also really excited about making new friends!

Soccer Session 2

This week we continued with our Soccer training with Coach Courtney. We practiced our ball control skills, then played mini-games.

Goal Setting with our Whanau!

Tomorrow is goal setting with our whanau. We are looking forward to the opportunity to share our learning goals with our families. We're in the process of uploading our presentations to our blogs so we can share our goals with those who can't make the conferences!
